The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, spoke at the annual General Assembly of the Association of Large Investment Projects, held in Nicosia on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

In his address, the President emphasized Cyprus’s commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship and creating a stable and attractive investment environment. He announced two actions in this direction.

Cyprus – the Ideal Investment Destination

Cyprus is actively working to enhance its image on the international stage. The President announced an extensive campaign aimed at promoting the country as the ideal destination for business and investment. This ambitious initiative promises to increase capital inflows and attract new investors.

New Opportunities in Construction and Real Estate

The second aspect involves preparing a new revised plan to incentivize the legalization and licensing of new construction. According to the President, the land development sector and related investments, as a key pillar of the Cypriot economy, “have shown particularly dynamic progress in recent years, despite the unstable external environment prevailing and undoubtedly affecting us.”

The introduction of new incentives promises to further strengthen this trend and provide investors with new opportunities for development.

In this context, the Government of Cyprus has set specific goals and taken initiatives for structural changes, investment support, bureaucracy reduction, and improvement of citizens’ daily lives.

“We are diligently working every day to achieve these goals and initiatives, which are crucial for the changing Cyprus, for a more sustainable and competitive economy,” said the President of the Republic.

The government is systematically and diligently working to strengthen Cyprus’s image and authority, as well as to create the necessary conditions to promote sustainable development, modernization, and state reform, and to support social cohesion.

Cyprus is confidently moving towards a more sustainable and competitive economy, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a reliable and promising investment destination.
