Due to recent changes in immigration legislation of Republic of Cyprus, among all of those who may receive indefinite leave to remain the priority goes to those who own an immovable property in Cyprus (houses, apartments), purchase price of which is not less than 300.000 Euro.

Immigration category “F” for third country citizens remains the only category which gives an opportunity to receive indefinite leave to remain for the whole family members.

To meet the requirements of the immigration category the applicant must give the evidence of guaranteed annual income from outside of Cyprus, sufficient to cover all expenses of the family. According to the current legislation the annual income for the main applicant should be not less than 6.500 Euro and 3.075 Euro for each member of the family.

Under present immigration category the applicant receives a special passport stamp that doesn’t have expiry date and it will be automatically replaced if the passport is changed for a new one.

The main advantage of indefinite leave to remain is that the applicant is not obliged to stay in Cyprus permanently. It is enough to visit Cyprus one time per two years.

Indefinite leave to remain gives a right to move to another country of the European Union and receive a permanent resident status in European Union (Green Card).

Thereby, those who became owners of the private property in Cyprus shall obtain not only indefinite leave to remain in Cyprus, but also an opportunity for free migration and choosing the country of residence on the territory of EU.

Present immigration privileges are not the only ones to attract foreign capital into the country. “Cyprus crisis” is still a long way from international economic collapse.
